Icicles forming along the north gutter above the family room, about a foot long. Early sign of an ice dam.

What happens next: I will check the attic insulation on the next visit and can have your roofer look at it if it grows. Not urgent yet.

Kitchen

Under sink plumbing

Problem

Slow drip from the cold water supply valve. Small puddle in the cabinet, about the size of a hand. This is on an outside wall, so I want it fixed before the deep freeze. I placed a bowl under it and shut the valve for now.

What happens next: This needs a plumber this week. I will call you today to talk it through and can meet the plumber at the house.
